Hey, I’m Vanessa!
A couple of years ago, I started offering homeschool mini sessions, and honestly, I was a little scared at first. My usual portrait sessions are much more time consuming and require a lot of planning and work, so the idea of creating something shorter and more simple was definitely outside my comfort zone.
Because of that, I’ve always kept these minis very limited. But over the years, I have been so blessed to have families return year after year, and those familiar faces have made these sessions feel more and more comfortable for me. What started as something I was nervous about has become something I truly enjoy.
I’ve always admired homeschool moms because y’all are on another level when it comes to making things happen and getting it done. And the kiddos who have come through my studio have honestly been so much fun to photograph and hang out with. They bring so much personality, and I’ve genuinely loved getting to know them over the years.
So this year, I decided to step outside my comfort zone a little more and make these sessions more available. Instead of offering them only a handful of times throughout the year, my goal is to offer homeschool portrait sessions regularly, with weekday availability throughout the year.
