Meet Vanessa Almonte, Clarksville Photographer & Makeup Artist

Hi, I’m Vanessa Almonte, the photographer behind The Rouge Caravane Photography in Clarksville, Tennessee.

I was born and raised in South Texas to Mexican parents, so yes, I grew up on family, faith, culture, tortillas, and coffee. I’m also bilingual in English and Spanish, and you’ll probably hear a little Spanglish during your session. Most of my clients are families and growing mamas, so I love being able to guide you in whatever language feels most comfortable.

My journey to photography was not a straight line. After high school, I joined the U.S. Army and later earned my Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology from Austin Peay State University. Somewhere in the middle of all that, photography started as a creative outlet and quickly turned into something bigger. People began booking sessions, trusting me with their milestones, and coming back year after year.

Along the way, I noticed something that kept coming up, especially for maternity portraits and newborn photography. Moms wanted help feeling confident and camera ready, but finding a makeup artist that matched their style and schedule was not always easy. So I did what I do best and learned it myself. I trained through Nashville AMUA with a focus on makeup and hair for photography. That background lets me offer a more complete experience, from planning to posing to a polished final look that photographs beautifully.

Today, I specialize in studio maternity photography, newborn sessions, and timeless family portraits in Clarksville, TN and the surrounding area. My style is guided, calm, and flattering. You do not need to know how to pose. You do not need to have everything figured out. I’ll help you through it step by step, so you can relax and actually enjoy the experience.
